I'm afraid that I was very, very drunk

show me the way to the next
whiskey bar

here I go again, the trumpets will blow again!

every day I spend my time drinking
wine
drinkin’ wine spo dee o’dee
I got red blood, and I got blood red wine

hey, hey, hey!

wasting our time on cheap talk and wine

good ol’ boys were drinking whiskey and rye
drinkin’ dark whiskey, telling white lies
whiskey in the jar

please me and I’ll please you

the piano has been drinking, not me

one for my baby and one more
for the road

"I'll tell you we must die..."

The end.

I was referring to Alabama Song ("... we must find the next whiskey bar..." etc.).

No end - "Sixteen men on a dead man's chest..."

I know you were referring to Alabama Song, because the line is from that song(like all the lines in this poem are from different songs) and I was remembering the Doors' version of that song and from "I'll tell you we must die" I came to think of The End by Doors.
Logical, eh?

...Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!
Drink and the devil had done for the rest--
...Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!

So much for Morrison. For him the end should have come a long time ago - forget him.

Hahhah, Remf, it's not easy to forget him. Actually, I don't even want to forget him -I like his voice. As for his character...well, the end did that.
