Black Coffee

Let’s make some coffee,
she said,
that was her way to say she felt pity
for me, coffee made things better.

Let’s have some coffee,
that’ll do us good
,
was the cure for everything
when I was a child.
Still is.
Black coffee,
and time to think, time to take a brake,
time to gather strength.
Coffee. Black coffee. Let me make you some.

Coffee - black comfort- I know the feeling! And I recognize the tradition where words are the hardest thing and people get loved by food...

Yes, Kutuharju, in England they put the kettle on in the time of despair, in Finland it's a cup of coffee.
