A memory

Had to put this old slide show here, had to get an assurance that there still is light and warmth, a summer to come.

A summer with green leaves and the blue sky, the water in the lake, so soft and mellow, gently caressing the overheated body. The everlasting rays of the setting sun, the beginning of a pale night with no stars. The white night and the white wedding of the fairies who dance over the lake, almost disappearing in the mist, giggling to each other.

I want to remember. I have to remember.

I remember. Spring and a new summer is just around the corner - pay no mind that the corner is yet some distance from here.

I try to focus on that thought, Mick!

Beautiful slides! Sometimes memory distorts or amplifies, introducing fictional elements into one's recollection. I always wonder how much of the summer I remember is the real thing, and how much the product of my own imagination.

Kenneth, in my case, I believe that imagination creates the biggest part of my memories. At least I hope so... otherwise I'd have to be a little worried about my mind:))

I must have been away for days, there's so much new on all your blogs. Summer is coming, we even have sunshine today.

I believe you haven't been away that long, HPY. I just have too many blogs and too little anything else to do on the weekend the weather being what it was.

Harry B tried to remember September; you manage to remember summer! It gives some good hopes I guess - only nine months to go!
