The Evident

The days are getting longer. There is no light, though. The greyness just lasts for longer, and the black hours are fewer.

How to survive autumn, how to cope with winter, how to live through the dark time, how to get by all the moody, gloomy and desperate hours until spring comes? These were the ultimate questions for me in September, in October, in November, in December, in January. Now it’s February, and I have my answer: I have survived, once again, but in honest: year after year those long months grow heavier, and already, although I’m heading towards light, sun and warmth, I’m horrified of the thought of the coming of a new fall and winter.

Pessimism? Maybe, but also a realistic. I know what’s waiting for us, for me. That won’t come as a surprise. The warmth of the summer, the night filled with whiteness won’t lure me. The glory of the long, hot summer is just a prologue to an endless time of the darkness.

Oh, I suck.

No, you dont! I'm there with you in my thoughts, in feeligs and gloominess. We'll survive once again and hit the coming warmth with open minds and no memory of this... whaterver this is. We'll find the old skies, even thou can't remember what it looks like at the moment...
And the sun will embrace us again. Believe me girl.

Even though you think all of this gloom and gray lasts forever with, maybe, fifteen minutes of sun and warmth, there will come that Spring day when we'll sing and dance and revel in warm breezes. Like I said, at least for fifteen minutes! :|

Yes, we'll have to survive, Lepis, they aren' just any other possbilities. And we'll welcome sun without bitterness.

Thanks, Trijnie, for the hug! Needed it.

I believe you're right, Mick. The sun does it, but on grey days like yesterday the thought of the sense of this all, was a little useless -thinking of the upcoming summer and its shortness.

It's grey and cold outside. THe mobile phone doesn't work. Will it get better today?

Maybe! If and when I'll send you some of the sunshine.

The phone doesn't work! Oh, that's bad, HPY. I believe it's because of this greyness.

You possibly live in what for you is the wrong part of the world? Or... would you long for winter if you lived in an eternal summer weather?
