Dreams that come true

It’s funny that some dreams do come true. You think of a certain thing, say maybe when you’re a child. That it would be great to travel some day to Egypt, to see the ruins of ancient temples, see the mummies, the valley where the kings have found their peace. You dream of becoming an archaeologist and you see yourself wipe off the sand to reveal precious treasures.
You wonder how it would feel to walk on the same stones Tutankhamen once walked on, or how it would feel to sail along the
Nile like Cleopatra.

But you’re a child and being a child means you don’t have the power to make dreams come true. You know that, you stop dreaming, and you concentrate on growing up. You want to forget the impossible and you go to school to get wise thoughts instead of dreams into your head.
Then, one day, you realize that you’ve grown up, you’ve become an adult and you can start to fulfil your dreams.

(because, really…you hadn’t forgotten your dreams, they were just put aside for some time, and although you didn’t become an archaeologist, you could always find other treasures…)

Susu,

Beautiful pictures and so uplifting story....

Ee have heard: never give up your dreams...even when we have lost hope...but you’re right, dreams don’t die...somewhere deep in mind they survive...

And incredible things can happen…dreams can really come true….:))

yes. and you never know when you find the treasure you really need. the only sadness is when you stop looking. I had to stop and say hello....a sister of my sister is also my sister....love to you, too, Susu

Hello, okjimm, nice to see you here, I've been seeing you in the fairy land of Kirsi:)

I believe the meaning of life is to realize when those treasures are just on your door. It's sad that many people doesn't see the important things when they possess them, only when they lose something they've concerned as certain, they wake up and it's often too late.

Oh dear, it's 6.50 AM, Monday morning, hmm, raining...anyway, it's a new day:)

Still a dream for me! I just HAVE to do it. At least one night at Old Cataract and another one the Old Winter Palace (not forgetting to leave the hotel room for the sightseeing)!

Wonderfully presented!

The Winter Palace did look great, though I looked it only outside. The Old Cataract looked golden from the Nile when we sailed in a felucca.

Yes, you must do that, Peter!
