Cleaning

I’ve been cleaning today, vacuuming, washing, and dusting the grey surfaces. It’s a bore, but it has to be done. Cleaning is quite useless. You do it once and after few days you could do it again. It’s a never ending task. A project that won’t just be finished. Ever.

Although I like the process of making art often more than the final result, the same doesn’t go with cleaning. I like the result much better, and I hope not to start it all over again after some time.

The one, who gives me tools to make cleaning a work of art, shall be highly thanked and blessed. Any suggestions?

Dirt is wrong -too many weeks (months) without cleaning. Hasn't been issue number one on my mind for a long time.
Well, now it's done, and I'm off for a nap, Lepis. Are you home already?

HPY, I will!!! I' spread that joy all over!

It's quite obvious. You need to set up your video camera and document the cleaning. Use ambient sound collage beneath a spoken poem of the event and, then, when it's all edited together, you have art! :D

The Neverending Story II.

I don't think I'd be fooled that way, Mick :( But not a bad idea, I could use it (no guarantee that it'll be clean at home, but a video can be born)

True, mm, never-never-ending!

There are people whose job cleaning is. Can you imagine that? :)

I've done that job, Liisa, but it's different when you're getting paid for it!

Sorry, no suggestions ... but I will be back here and check if something comes up! :-) (Something better than Mick's suggestion!) :-)

Yes, home sweet home. Or should I say moving the sweet home away ;) And planning 'the trip' again.

This cleaning spree sounds like a 'hellehepuli' ;D

Do come back, Peter!

I moved for some years ago, Lepis, this time of the year, and the temperature was 28 Celsius in the morning when we started -it was a looong and hooot day!

All the sudden you have this cleaning blues
With the dust all around, there is so much to do
The walls, the windows, the furniture and the floors too
First, why don’t you shout out loud “Boooooooooooo”

Any cleaning suggestions anyone?
Mick’s suggestion is not a bad one
But the blues keep singing rather the ambient sound
I guess you have to devise a plan to get things done

I think I can suggest a simple plan
It’s so simple obviously you can
See your walking shoes, lace them up tight
Never mind the cleaning, free yourself and take a flight!

Azer, what wonderful lyrics, please do make music also for this! Cleaning Day Blues, yes!!!! Thanks, I'll take a flight!!!!

Yap, the same feeling: what's more useless that trying to keep up the cleanliness. SIrokko draw an unhappy face to a dusty surface, maybe you could start making instant art with surfaces covered with dust? Then make videos or photos of the dirtiest places and we may admire the figures you manage to conjure up :)

SusuPetal said...

Kutuharju, that is a great idea! I could start with window art, thank you!

You can use the cleaning process to meditate on form, movement, chemical reaction, the metamorphosis of ordinary objects, and particle physics. ;-)

OMG, Kenneth, that sounds far too complexed for my simple mind :)

Hi Susu! You need a robot!!

Blogtrotter is anticipating the 4th of July fireworks; but in a different country... ;) Have a great weekend (or vacation, should you have that chance...)!
