Miss Moonlight
I’ve been painting a lot lately, less writing. While painting I don’t have to think about anything else than the next stroke of the brush, colors I’ll use.
It’s relaxing. I’m at ease when I paint. No anxiety, no nothing in my head. That’s a blessing.
Mixed media is something new I’ve tried to do. I have no clue how to work properly, I only put layers of tissue on the canvas, use pearls and buttons, sprays from different bottles, acrylics, glue, nail polish, everything I find.
It’s fun.
I’m a beginner with mixed media, so please, look at SuviAnniinas work. She’s amazing and she’s a friend of mine.

How long did it take to make this? Longer than just painting?
mixed media...I could do that too - I have too much stuff around me - some of it would be ideal for mixed media! :)
Well done! Stony hair is a great idea. I like this!
BLOGitse, yes it takes a longer time than painting, because you have to wait for one layer to dry before adding the next one.
Lepis, those look like stones but are not, they are metallic paper from Neekerinsuukko-candies :)
Voi Ihana <3 te molemmat. Neekerinpusu tukkainen tyttö :-)))
Sinne tauluunhan voi leikellä ja liimailla vaikka vanhat kals...no sukat, eikä kukaan tiedä mitään.
That´s what painting does. It takes you far far away where nothing else matters.
Neekerinsuukkopaperit ovat hyviä, SuviAnniina, koska on ihan pakko syödä ne suukot!
Cloubusting, it's true and it's a blessing.
That's quite a permanent, Susu!
Tight it must be, Mick, no winds for that head!
No anxiety dear? OK, I trust you...
xoxo
That's a very nice lady with hard hair!
Have you ever visited Elfi's blog? Of course it's in French, but she has wonderful acrylic paintings and mixed media too.
Here's the link :

Gil, that anxiety lies under the painting, so it's still there.
HPY, I'll have a look, my French is bad but pictures are universal.
The first and major thing for an artist is to have an idea and a wish to creat it. It's obvious that you have it!
Peter, thank you.
it´s good to try new things, you never know what it is in store
It's fun, Ellen, and sometimes even more fun!
Your book is on my nightstand, can't wait to read it!
Susa, I'm interested to hear what you think about the book. If it awakes thoughts, feelings, realizations, I would like to read about them in your blog, so you are free to write about it, if you feel like it.
Say hello to Varjo!
I like it, very cool painting!
Thank you, JM.
I like it very much, makes me want to try myself.
Oh, do try, Frances! It's fun, really inspiriting.
lovely painting...somehow reminds me of Klimt :)
Thank you, Siddhartha.
You are welcome :)
BTW is 'SusuPetal' your name? Initially it sounded so much like an Indian name to me...
No, SusuPetal is a pseudonym, not my real name.
