Awakenings, please

This winter seems to never end. I remember this season started in November and since, there’s been only snow and snow and snow and the ever freezing coldness. Right now the temperature is -19 degrees Celsius ( -2 F ) and the east wind is awful. No possibilities to go out.

Which is good.

I like to stay inside, feel warm and when getting sleepy, go to bed and dream of sun and warmth, hoping that spring some day arrives. I also dream of waking to life.

I just spoke with my mother - she's inside too!
Also heard that Helsinki area is full of snow from the city streets!

Stay in and keep warm. Spring will come.
With warmth,

From time to time, it's not such a bad thing to bundle up and step out into this world of white ... it will, if nothing else, remind you how alive you really are. Even five minutes and a walk around the yard will do. Or - we could wait for spring! :|

I understand your mother, BLOGitse!

Oh, Jinksy, that's true, I'm also like a spring bulb!

Five minutes walk, Mick? You must be kidding! I'd freeze to death in five minutes!
Maybe on Monday.

I've been romping around country side during the past couple of days. Eating pankakes and coffee at a camp fire and yet, freezing my toes off! Who could believe it, I've been outside! But happily at home and under covers now :) Anyway, I should stay home, since every time I've gone somewhere this winter, the weather turns worse than ever and the temperature drops below reasonable.

I'm going nuts with this winter!

Your days sound unbelievable, are you sure you've not been dreaming? I wouldn't sit by a camp fire for all the pancakes in the world, Lepis!

Winter has been long and cold. Even we still have some snow left but today it's raining so it may melt away.

Hi Susu! Sorry for another long absence, but after a busy start of the year I decided to make a break during the Carnival week, anticipating new hard weeks ahead!!

No need to dream; just get south... ;))
(But it has been raining here also... ;))

Meanwhile, Blogtrotter 2 is in Haiti. Hope you enjoy and have a great week!!

We didn't have snow in Lisbon, but some persistent rain...
But now March has arrived and maybe this awful winter will be gone... And there is the Holi Festival in India to celebrate the Colours!!
Enjoy and have a great week!!
