This story made me laugh out loud, Susu ... forgive me - as the subject is also quite serious in its way - but that's another part of the intended juggle I think. Very, very well done!

Hah, Elegia, my life isn't funny, Elegia, nor tragical, just plain and ordinary, nothing to write about:))
Words are a puzzle, Griesmail, or they are like doors that open up in a different way to each person.
The picture (showing a man trying to downplay something and a woman looking annoyed) hints at the dynamics of this exchange but the lines aren't specifically attributed to him or her. (For example, it doesn't say the woman is the one who asks, "I love you. Do you love me?")
Yet, it's so obvious to us who is saying what. It's a sad commentary on the irreconcilable difference between the two sexes' reasoning methods, isn't it?
Reasoning methods is a swamp you'll easily fall into, Kenneth. Yes, it can be so difficult: the words and the feelings behind the words. It's amazing we're still living, loving and hoping!!
(I usually write my dialogue without describing sex, age etc of those who speak. -it's nice to let people make their own conclusions)
People have to make their own conclusion also on the last line: wether the speaker is saying: "I don't hate you." Or: "I don't hate myself."
Ha ha, that's true, Little Sister! Words are funny, you'll never know...
