I´ve never heard that song, it is absolutely great! I like the fact that Rod Stewart is the quest singer with the band, I see him in a different light now. The lyrics remind me of another song but I just can't remember what song that is...I`ll get back to you :)
This song belongs to my youth, Almamaria, it brings so many memories back to my mind. Memories that are of no importance, the feeling is more important. Thanks for the Cream-link.
Ensio, Honesty is my middle name. One of them, at least.
I understand (at least I think I do). I have been thinking a lot about my youth lately, have listened to the music what I liked then (and partly like now too). It is so true what you wrote about the feeling. I´m kind of sad and happy at the same time, I was very shy when I was younger and sometimes that made things harder to deal with. I´m glad that all worked out well, but when I read a certain poem or listen to a certain song it makes me feel - unpleasant, maybe.
The feelings are mixed, it's funny. You want to remember and you want to forget, the difficulty is to decide what to do. Memories fade away, but the feelings linger on in ones mind.
It is quite unpleasant that one can´t choose or unlock the triggers of our memories and feelings. Life could be easier if we had the power and the keys.
What's not to like about this song? What's not to like about Rod Stewart making a guest appearance? What's not to like about our memories? Well, most of them anyway. :)

ReplyDeleteWell... at least you are honest, I'll give you that. It's not that usual nowadays.

ReplyDeleteIt would give us a vision and memory of a perfect childhood, Liisa.
ReplyDeleteWould people then be happier?

ReplyDeleteEveryday I spend my time
ReplyDeletedrinking wine...
Hmm, does this song tell about you, Susu? ;)
If I wouldn't get hangover from drinking every day, it could tell about me, Elegia.
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm sorry, Susu. It was a thought, only a thought
ReplyDeleteAnd my life is for rent... *singing*
It reminds me of Dido's song Life for rent. Nice song. :))
I meant, I would gladly drink wine every day, but the head is too weak. It's a pity. I like wine drinking.
ReplyDeleteI understood you silly Susu ;) I'm glad my head is not that weak :D
ReplyDeleteI envy you, I do.
